FTTX SITE ENGINEER AT OMAN FIBER OPTICS (OBC), OMAN (MARCH 2017-DEC 2018) ? Implementation the scope of work for the placement of Bowser zone-8 and 3 in line with Oman broadband company’s specifications and standards. ? Performing site inspection, site survey, implementing guidelines of Outside Plant Network and Engineering practices with familiarization of International Telecommunications Standard. ? Ability to manage multiple subcontractor and direct installation teams (OSP/Civil Works/FOC). ? Cross verify the contractors are practicing QHS&E health and safety standards during working hours and wearing all necessary PPEs. ? Closely manage contractor's overall performance, provide regular reports on contractors performance. ? Perform construction activities utilizing the most cost reducing mechanism. ? Coordinate with material & equipment supplies i.e.chamber,concrete, asphalt and machineries. ? Assure that construction codes and safety regulation are being implemented. ? Ensure fiber records are accurately updated in a timely manner upon completion of project. ? Manage and supervise all site construction activities as per construction drawings. Ensure safety standards and quality of workmanship. ? Report on all Infrastructures related issues and site snags. ? Supervise and assure that the design has been precisely carried out at site during project execution. ? To provide technical feedback to the design team on the improvements of design aspects according to the practical experience obtained from on the site. ? Manage the delivery of all materials to the sites in coordination with company's store and/contracted approved vendors. ? Attend meetings with subcontractors and site issues,expedite progress of work. ? Requesting for material approvals, Inspection reports and acceptance tests. ? End to end fiber testing for long distance and building connectivity. ? Daily/Weekly report update and reporting to management and client through,Dropbox,DLR, DPR about the progress and quality of work and forward to the manager periodically and as required. ? Investigate delayed works of contractor and report to higher management. ? Checking and verification of As Built BOQ /Additional BOQ and Comparison BOQ of multiple sub-contractor. ? Reviews and update summary sheet for FTTH ISP/OSP cabling requirements ensuring FTTH ISP and OSP capacities are figured adequately and accurately for the assigned project.--
