Job Description: - Planning and logistics stocks of raw materials and inventory for the new processor assigned. - Manage the acquisition of the equipment’s needed and their respective production formats for the new processor. - Monitor and control the product health indicators, since of these depended on its cost per unit, number of equipment’s to buy, etc. - Controlling production costs and meet the budget set for the new product. - Comply with the characteristics and volumes requested by MKT for the launch of the new product. - Innovate, improve and save costs in the production process of the new product. - Lead the engineering team, multicultural and transnational for the introduction of the new microprocessor in different assembly and testing factories of Intel (Costa Rica, Malaysia, Philippines and China). - Check the development and testing of the products, minimizing the variability, optimize its cost and increase its production volume. - Meet the promised volume and customer characteristics, with a quality equal to 50 defects per million in the fixed budget. Work environment: - Intel has a matrix structure where I had my boss and several collaborators from other areas that report to me. - Intel practices Work Life Effectiveness (WLE) program which allowed me to work three weeks in Ecuador every three months. In addition, every 4 months traveling abroad for F2F meetings in different countries. As well I had to lead a weekly teleconferencing meeting with my 24 team members. Major achievements - I save more than $ 80M / year in the microprocessors assigned to me. - Introduction of New 65nm Merom 32-bit microprocessor 2007 for personal computers and desktop. - Introduction of New 32-bit microprocessors Penryn 45nm 2008 for personal computers and desktop. - Introduction of New 32-bit microprocessors Sandy Bridge 32nm 2009 for personal computers, desktop, mobile and desktop and servers. - Introduction of New Tukwila Itanium 64-bit microprocessor 2010 to mainframes banking or telecommunications management. - Creation of the historical database of quality indicators of microprocessors based on its technical characteristics for comparison and analysis.--
