I oversee plant and equipment operations as well as power generation, service and preventative maintenance work as assigned primarily within the Thermal Plant, and participate in troubleshooting plant problems. ? I am responsible for monitoring logs and data from meters, gauges, equipment and valve conditions, switch settings, energy management and control systems in accordance with assigned procedures. ? I am responsible for monitoring of the entire plant and energy management control system for issues and changed conditions, and initiate corrective actions in accordance with assigned procedures. ? I actively train plant operation engineers on a regular basis for professional development, and manage the activities, professional development, and performance of personnel performing work within their respective groups and ensure they have an understanding of their roles and responsibilities. ? As part of my duties, I facilitate the integration of safety and quality into operations as part of the senior leadership team, and also participate in the hiring process that ensures positions are staffed with personnel who possess the appropriate education and experience. ? I develop, communicate, and perform work practices and procedures to keep site drawings and documentation up to date, and functions as Plant Manager as directed by same in his absence. ? As an authority, I possess the stops work authority without fear of reprisal for adverse conditions potentially affecting safety or the environment and identify facility maintenance and upgrades needed to maintain compliance with Environmental Safety Health and Quality Assurance requirements. ? I ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with requirements of safety documentation including Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) and Technical Safety Requirements (TSR)] and in accordance with Conduct of Operations guidelines and approved procedures.--
