Department of Labor(DOL) typically certifies more than 3 times the number of foreign work requests than the number of H1B visas issued by USCIS. So there is no one to one relationship between the number of workers certified by the DOL and the number of H1B work visas issued by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

New Feature: H1B Visa Report Filter

We might have too many reports and variables when analyzing H1B Visa and Green Card data!

To help our user navigate our visa reports, we just added a H1B Visa Report Filter to every 2010 H1B Visa report. It is on the top left corner of every visa report. It has 2 or 3 levels of selection depending on the type of reports you are generating. You can use it to generate 4 types of h1b visa reports: Occupation, Industry, Economic Sector and State.

If you choose to generate reports in Occupation and Industry, you will have the options to specify thirld levle filter: Sub Occupation or Sub Industry. For reports in Economic Sector and States, you will not be given the option.

We are considering add City level filter under state report, if you think this is a good idea, please let us know so we will assign this feature a higher priority.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask on our Immigration Forum!
