Will employers sponsor working visa for all new jobs listed on your web site?
No. Most new jobs on myvisajobs.com come from employers who have sponsored working visa before.
However, whether the employers will sponsor working visa depends on various factors, including candidate qualification, job market, skill sets required, work location, etc. Anyway, it does not hurt to apply.
Can I use your services if I do not live in United States?
Yes, you can. About one third of our members reside outside of United States. Some employers are willing to hire foreign workers directly from overseas.
Do I have to pay to become a member?
No. Basic membership is free, but some services are only available to members who have made contributions. Please read the Membership Comparison Chart
How can I become a Contributing Member?
We provide several options for you to become a contributing member: making payment, recommending our web site and adding links to your web pages.
If you are a student or recent graduate, you can contact the career services department and ask if the it has partnership with myvisajobs.com. If yes, you will be able to get free upgrade.
What's the difference between Free Basic Membership and Contributing Membership?
What should I do if I forget my user name and password?
Is my personal information safe?
Yes. I will never sell or share your personal information with other companies. If you have created a career profile, you can update your privacy setting
at any time.
How do I unsubscribe from your newsletter?
At the bottom of every newsletter, you can find a link to unsubscribe. Just click on the link and your email address will be added to our Do Not Send lit.
How do I delete my account?
You can log into your account, and then click the Delete Account link under Account tab.
Once deleted, your account could not be recovered. If you want to access our services again, you will have to create a new account.
If you are concerned about your privacy, you do not have to delete account, you can simply change your privacy setting
How can I make payment?
We have been PayPal Verified
since January 2004. Even if you do not have a PayPal account, you can still pay through PayPal using your
credit card or bank account.
We do not accept wire transfer, check, money order or cash.
Do you accept Credit Card?
Yes, we accept credit card payment through PayPal. We will never know your credit card number.
Do you accept payment directly from bank account?
Yes, we accept bank account payment through PayPal. We will never know your bank account number.
What's your refund policy?
We are so confident in our services that we provide 100% satisfaction guarantee. If you are not happy with our services, please just tell us how we should improve, we will issue the refund within 1-2 business day.
There will be $1 transaction fee for refunding Contributing Membership upgrade.
To prevent people from using Smart Apply and Resume Service as spam, we charge 30% refund fee for these two services.
What should I do to get refund?
Please take following steps to request the refund:
- Visit Contact Us page and select Billing Department.
- Tell us why you are not happy so we can improve our service.
- Forward your PayPal payment confirmation email to email@example.com.(The information is required, becaue people often use different email address or other people's PayPal account to make payment. Sometimes, buyer and seller get different transction ID from PayPal.)
- We will issue the refund usually within 1-2 business day.
- Your refund will arrive your credit card or bank account in 2-5 business days.
Would you automatically bill me every month?
No. All payments are one time only. We will never automatically renew your contributing membership. Actually, we can not do that as PayPal and Google Checkout take care of all our transactions.
PayPal do not provide services in my country? What should I do?
Currently we only accept payment through PayPal. We suggest you use other options to become a contributing member, for example, recommend our services to your college.
You can search PayPal Alternative services online.
I just upgraded my membership, but I still can not see the
Contributing Member Only pages. What's going on?
After you make payment on PayPal, you will receive a confirmation email from us and your membership should be upgraded. This process usually takes no more than one minute.
If you still have problem accessing Contributing Member area, please restart your browser to clear the cache.
What's Smart Apply?
Smart Apply is a real time job search engine. Based on the criteria and options created by you, it will automatically match and apply for jobs.
How do I start using Smart Apply service?
Can I use Smart Apply service without resume and cover letter?
No. You have to create at least one resume and one cover letter.
Can I have multiple versions of resumes and cover letter?
Yes, you can use different versions of resumes and cover letters at the same time by creating different smart apply setting. You must specify the version of resume and cover letter you want to use in Smart Apply.
Will the applications be submitted automatically after the jobs are matched?
It depends on how you set up your Smart Apply.
The default setting requires you to review and approve the matched jobs before the applications are sent out.
If you want to applications to be sent out automatically, uncheck the Approval Required checkbox on Smart Apply setup page.
What should I do if I do not want to be matched to jobs from some companies,
like my current employer?
On Smart Apply setup page, you can add those employers the Avoid List. Our engine will skip those employers.
Is Smart Apply some kind of spam?
No, absolutely not. We take all necessary steps to prevent people abusing the service. For example,
1. The engine will match no more than 50 jobs for one user every day.
2. The engine will match at most one job from one company for one user every day.
3. The engine will submit no more than 10 applications to same company every day.
4. The engine will wait at least one hour before submitting another application to hiring manager.
5. The engine will not submit any appications between 11:00PM and 6:00AM Eastern Time.
How the jobs are matched?
The engine takes into consideration your target titles, skills and target locations. Every matched job has a
relevance score. Every day only the 50 jobs with highest scores are returned.
Can I stop Smart Apply at any time?
Yes, you can. Log into your account, on Smart Apply setup page, uncheck the Status checkbox. The engine will stop matching new jobs for you.
Will the Smart Apply keep matching jobs for me if I do not stop it?
No. To avoid spam, the maximum active period of the Smart Apply service is 10 days. You have to log into your account and renew the service.
How do I know the status of my Smart Apply service?
You will receive detailed daily report on matched jobs and submitted applications. You can also log into your account to approve matched jobs or check service history.
