Work as a Supervisor reports directly to the American General Services Officer (GSO). Responsible for all expendable, non expendable official property acquisition, accountability, storage, issuance, control and disposal systems. Develops, plans, initiates and implements procedures for expendable and non-expendable inventories. Carries out the tasks and operations independently within the prescribed regulations with little supervision. Assists SGSO/GSO in assessing and analyzing budgeting, staffing, negotiating contracts and other administrative actions and communications.
Using NEPA (Non-Expendable Property Application) system, maintains non-expendable property records of U.S. government offices and household furniture and equipment. Responsible for conducting physical inventories of the Chancery building, government-owned and leased properties at Karachi. Responsible for keeping records of receipts, locations and dispositions of all non-expendable U.S. Government property at Karachi. Posts new property from receiving reports, transfer property to another account from transaction documents. Notifies American Supervisor when property should be replaced based on life cycle and condition of property. Reconciles NEPA records with physical inventory findings as directed by supervisor. Maintains records of household furnishings and equipment issued to American personnel assigned to Consulate (Karachi) and records changes, if any. Participates in periodic physical inventories of household furnishings and equipment upon departure of the personnel to whom issued, and reconciles records with inventory findings.
