Process Design • Provided process engineering support to develop new sulfur block area as part of a crude oil flexibility project • Estimated material and energy balances for new processes, and summarized the utility consumption for the Amine Recovery, Acid Gas Flare, Sulfur Recovery and Tail Gas Treating units. • Developed a fluid dynamic transfer model for a new brine mixing tank by using FATHOM for Belle Works of DuPont. • Designed a new amine storage tank with Aspen Plus and CAD, and redesigned its pressure venting system. Equipment Specification • Sized and back-checked over 600 pipe lines using SysTools for 4 different operation units. • Prepared size calculations and technical reports for DuPont pressure relief valves with DuPont PRV System. Project Engineering • Provided up-front design engineering support for $2.8 billion in refinery floor expansion from 161,500 BPD to 201,500 BPD with technical and production upgrades focused on heavy crude processing and compliance. • Maintained over 200 equipment specifications and status utilizing the SmartPlant integrated project system. • Completed the HAZOPs Action Registry and Resolution Reviews for 4 operation units. • Trained and supervised 2 Administrative Specialists to assist documentation control and SOP write-ups. • Campaigned and elected as the Treasurer of the KBR IMPACT Team.
