I have worked as a Senior Research Scientist I for 3 years in the synthesis department developing organic molecules for Structural Activity Relationships (SAR) studies for our clients in the USA.
• Designed and executed novel synthetic routes for new chemical entities screened for Structure-Activity Relationship (SAR) studies for oncology drugs. • Conducted air and moisture-free synthesis, purification, and analysis using Schlenk lines, distillation, extraction, crystallization, chromatography, GC-MS, LC-MS, HPLC, NMR, FT-IR etc. • Instrumental in the synthesis of more than 200 drug molecules in 3 years, each involving 6-9 steps. • Documented every reaction performed and ensured completion of all given synthesis projects in a timely manner, from small batches to large-scale synthesis, purity assessment, and shipment. • Increased finished products shipment up to 1.8 times using a team of 4 training associates. • Updated bi-weekly to clients in Mid-west, USA, with status reports through teleconferences. • Maintained chemical inventory and prepared chemical hygiene plan (CHP) for hazardous chemicals.--
