Participated the all-optical switching research with liquid-core optical fiber (LCOF) and nonlinear optical effect. Cs liquid as a nonlinear optical material was injected into LCOF and spliced with fiber loop mirror in fiber laser system. The laser power induces nonlinear optical effect in the loop mirror and induces constructive or destructive interference which can output digital signal with speed of light.

My dissertation is about graphene synthesis and applications. I went to college of optical sciences at The University of Arizona as a funded visiting scientist in 2015 for participating a All-optical switching project. In the project, I applied Cs liquid as the nonlinear optical material in a hollow-core optical fiber, the fiber then spliced into a fiber loop mirror system with fiber laser system.
