Sprint Nextel Corporation (Sprint Nextel) is a communication company offering a range of wireless and wireline communications products and services for individuals, business and government customers. It conducts its operations through two segments: Wireless and Long Distance. Sprint Nextel owns wireless networks and a global long distance, Tier 1 Internet backbone. The Company offers digital wireless service in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the United States Virgin Islands, in part through commercial affiliation arrangements between it and third-party affiliates, each referred to as a personal communications services (PCS) Affiliate.
