2010 Report Summary

In 2009, US employers submitted 311,972 H1-B Visa applications(inclulding renew, transfer and non-cap). 22, 416 of them were denied or withdrawn.

During the same period, Department of Labor made decisions on 33,165 employment based Green Card applications(PERM). This number is only about half of the 2008 number.

The good news is, 23,309 employers who have never filed H1b visa or employment based green card applications started doing so in 2009!
