Our client is a company that conducts market research studies for all of their customers so our projects consist of building applications that will allow that company’s customers to view the results of these studies (via the web, using charts and reports as reference).
• Developed several web sites for the customers of a market research company. • Building new applications (websites) from scratch and giving support to these (and other existing) applications according to the client’s business needs. All projects so far have been successful. • Building new applications/websites, and new reporting/charting modules for them (considering the business logic, database design, database access and the user interface), configuring/implementing these new websites. Also, making changes to modules and maintaining databases of already existing applications. • Uploading/updating the necessary data for the applications (using SSIS packages and queries). Formulating monthly reports with complex queries, and managing/administering their databases (creating backups, maintenance plans, DTS, tables, stored procedures, triggers, indexes, backup and maintenance plans ) when needed. • Building new reporting modules in the applications and giving software support to all of these applications and websites. • Building user management modules with the corresponding security. • Making changes to existing modules in the applications, formulating monthly reports with complex queries, and managing their databases (creating DTS, tables, stored procedures, triggers, indexes, backup and maintenance plans ) when needed. Out clients were Forwarding agencies, and we built all the information systems they needed to handle all the logistics for their imports and exports ( international commerce ). We also gave consulting services to all our clients
• Developed a Web site for forwarding agencies. This project consisted in producing a web site that clients of the Forwarding Agencies could use to consult their inventory, and the status and movement (or cycle) of their merchandise. The web site was done in Visual Interdev with SQL Server 2000 & ADO, and contains essential searches and reports. This web site is now implemented in 5 forwarding agencies. • Worked on several projects that have consisted in the implementation of the Operation system for several forwarding agencies. The Operation System administers the merchandise from the time it arrives at the warehouse, to the time it leaves in order to be imported or exported. The Operation system has been implemented for several clients according to their specific needs. We also gave software and customer support to all of the systems that were implemented and for all clients we had. • Built fully functional E-commerce website with shopping cart and payment gateway. This was done using UML and ASP.NET 2.0 (C #) with SQL 2005. • Built Web based Knowledge Base system to improve customer support in a consulting company, using UML and ASP.NET 2.0 (C#) with SQL 2005. Also participated in the business process redesign tasks for that company. • Built Customer Support and Consultant Task Administration Application in VB.Net 2.0, using ADO.Net, UML and ASP.NET 2.0 (C#) with SQL 2005. • Fully implemented a WMS System (which is a system to manage all the operations existing in a Warehouse) in a chain of furniture stores in Mexico City, and also implemented the WMS System in the Warehouses of the clients of a Logistics Company. The project consisted of analyzing all client’s needs and implementing both the application part and the web part of the WMS System, both working under an Oracle 9.i environment, also using Crystal Reports. • The project consisted of supporting the implementation of an ERP system for a chain of stores in Mexico City. Part of the ERP construction was made and 4 full interfaces were built. This interface loads information that is considered the backbone of the ERP system’s functionality. The 4 interfaces were: Products, Commercial structure, Offices and Prices. They were built as stored procedures under Oracle, version 10g. ERP Reports were made with Crystal Reports and ERP application was built under Versata. Project Management experience: Fully manage and administer an information system’s implementation project in a forwarding agency, with successful results. The solution was adapted using PowerBuilder 5.0/10.0, Visual Interdev, SQL Server 2000 (with T-SQL), Visual Basic 6.0 and VB.NET (using ADO.Net). Tools & Technologies: PowerBuilder 5.0/10.0, Visual Interdev, SQL Server 2000/2005, SQL (T-SQL, ETL/DTS and SQL Analysis Services), Visual Basic 6.0, and VB.NET (using ADO.Net).--
