As the first clinician joining the IT department, I overtook a clinician-facing role managing all internal clinical stakeholders and respective systems. - I managed the development of clinical modules/databases for a variety of projects (patient health records, discharge summaries, research databases, clinical documents) - I successfully and timely aggregated and submitted (against deadline) Trust data to CCAD for our pulmonary hypertension service ensuring continuation of funding for the respective department and its service. - I completed the e-Discharge summary project. Discharge letter could be dispatched to GP in 24 hours in accordance with national directive. - I dedicated my master’s dissertation on the e-Discharge summary project and performed task analysis and think aloud protocol with a physician user group. I used the findings to improve the clinical safety and usability of our process and system. - I expanded the IT department’s internal client base to include perioperative anaesthesia, paediatrics and clinical nurse specialists.--
