Goal: To obtain gainful employment in the state of Ohio that would allow me to build a foundation for my family to flourish. I have a deep sense of community, so would prefer a position that would provide me an opportunity to make positive change for those around me.
HighLight: At 23, I was hired as the first communications position within the Town of Stellarton. I had originally been hired on a contract with the purpose of developing the Town's first Communications Plan, but six weeks into my position, our province was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic and my entire job description was thrown into the air and became centered around safety protocols and practices, and ensuring our residents had the resources they required. Through the pandemic, I proved myself as a valuable resource for crisis communications on top of developing the Town's first Communications Plan. I was hired to be a permanent staff member and not that we have less emphasis on COVID-19, we are seeing the Communications Plan come to life.
