AT&T has very few H1B visa's and green card applications because they contract many IT services to Infosys, Tech Mahindra, and others. Large groups of Employees are told that their jobs are being outsourced to these companies. Some are offered employment with the outsourcing company and others are give a 60 day layoff notice. Those that are offered jobs with the outsourcing company have about 2 weeks to accept (not much time to find something else). There are lots of legal documents and I'm sure those getting severance or a job offer have to give up their rights to sue. AT&T has also implemented arbitration as a way for all employees to settle disputes with the company unless they opted out.
