I worked while simultaneously completing my university studies. After graduating from Ankara University, Faculty of Health Education, one of the best universities in Turkey, I started teaching. I worked as a patient and elderly care teacher for ten years. During this time, I trained many patient and elderly care students. I also provided weekend training to adults on patient and elderly care. I retired in July 2025. Treating and caring for sick and elderly people, sharing experiences with them, and helping them makes me happy.

My name is Erkan Meriç. I graduated from a Health Vocational High School, "Health Officer" department. I worked as a health officer (male nurse) in health centers and hospitals. Later, there were changes in the laws, and nursing departments were opened in universities. Since I was already working as a nurse based on my high school diploma, I continued working as a nursing assistant. For 20 years, I performed duties such as patient care, intramuscular and intravenous administrations, wound dressing, and blood sampling in health centers and hospitals.
