I am an electro/mechanical maintenance craftsman with extensive experience in a Jaguar car manufacturing plant in the UK. I have 10 plus years of experience of preventative and breakdown maintenance
In this role, I do day to day start up checks and checks through-out the shift i.e. weld checks and checking that sealer paths are in the correct position, I also attend breakdowns where I'm required to get the machinery running again as fast and as efficiently as possible, whether this is a minor job such as replacing a sensor to a major job of a robot not welding or sequencing faults where I have to look through the programmes to be able to get equipment running again. I also have to do jobs on night shifts where I may be required to edit robot programmes such as spot weld positions or robot movements to a more suitable position to suit the operational needs. I work well as a member of a team of engineers but I also work on my own initiative as I have sole responsibility for a section of the plant.--
