Biography:Deborah Marlowe is a Partner with Berry Appleman & Leiden and serves as Co-Chair of the Atlanta and New York offices. Ms. Marlowe also serves as one of the managing partners for the Firm's global immigration group. She practices in all areas of business-related immigration law, spanning both the United States and abroad. Her focus includes representing numerous international companies in a broad variety of immigration proceedings, including temporary and permanent work permits and petitions. She regularly advises clients with respect to developing programs to maintain and audit compliance with immigration regulations and policies. In addition, she has developed immigration training programs for corporate human resources and legal professionals, and she has also addressed a variety of business and professional groups regarding immigration concerns. Ms. Marlowe is a founding member of the Global Personnel Alliance (GPA), a loose consortium of internationally active companies interested in global personnel mobility. Previously, Ms. Marlowe was partner and co-chair of the global immigration practice group of Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP. Ms. Marlowe has chaired the regional Labor Liaison Committee of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (Atlanta Chapter). She has also been the principal editor of Business Immigration Report, a periodical update on immigration law developments published by the immigration law team.
