Fraud company. Please stay away. They are under USCIS Scanner for fraud.

- The worst out there - - - 3/16/2017 - flag as inappropriate - comment
This is one of the worst companies in the bay area. Lot of deceitful and misguiding people. They fake resumes and have so many middle men out there. They will devour most of your salary and pay you peanuts in return. I don't understand how they are legally operating after all the fake things they do.

- Fraudulent company - Stay Away - - - 3/28/2016 - flag as inappropriate - comment
Guys,

This company does couple of things which sounds fradulent

1) Will first tell you that training is free. But when u join you will have to sign a contract which states that you are legally obliged to pay $10000 for their mediocre training. If u quit before atleast a year on project they will drag u to the court for the $10000 in training even though they would have told you that training is free.Essentially it is a method of enforcing bonded labour and making sure that no one quits their company in pursuit of better opportunities. Will pay u so low too.

2) Charges money for H1b filling from candidates which is illegal

3) There are numerous complaints and negative reviews about them online

Some reason, I do not recommend this place, specially for those who looking for GC Or Long term H1/L1 Visa,

This place , people are very tricky minded, False promises with you, in last 10 years they hardly gave visa or long term job to students, they just send you may be 2 month project, and you select if you are lucky in 200 students.

after that - they send you home, because they only make money on very short term project, they even don't discuss salary with you, and they gave very less pay to you, all that you sucks , because you signed the contract.

EXTREMELY BAD EXPERIENCE.

NEVER COME BACH THIS PLACE AND RECOMMEND TO ALL, BEWARE OF THOSE :(
Pratapan - 2/19/2016 - Hello Geeta, We are considering approaching them.. Can you tell more about ur experience with them and why you think its not a good idea? thanks - flag
D_nom - 10/3/2016 - Why are you ignoring to Jeff@WSJ & Pratapan? Do you know this company will pay you compensation if you unite and raise a voice? Just writing a review is not going to take you ahead in anything. - flag

- Canvas's HR team is very helpful and effective. - - A Kapoor - 4/24/2015 - flag as inappropriate - comment
Words just can't express how thankful I am for the hard work Canvas and my Marketing Managers have done to get me placed.
I appreciate my MMs presence of mind, genuine guidance on what is good for me, cooperativeness and professional marketing strategies.
Thank you for being there even on odd hours and your off days. You have been so cooperative, tactful and professional always.
And the whole efforts would not have been successful without the excellent help from the mentors.

I believe Canvas is providing an excellent boost and a platform to start a career in IT for many candidates like me, through its excellent Mentors, MMs and professional administration. I hope I can grow in this field and some day be able to contribute to Canvas as well.

- Canvas is a great company to work with! - - Chitra N - 3/31/2015 - flag as inappropriate - comment
I joined Canvas with a hesitant mind but I'm glad I did. I got placed in 3 months of joining, just in time for the H1B filing- and with Canvas's awesome trainers, I learn something new everyday.
I'm not denying that it is very hectic and intensive after you join, but it is all worth it in the wend when you are finally placed and all the hard work, sweat and tears pay off.
The management is understanding and kind. They help you out as and when you need assistance. Sapna is always there to lend a ear when you are troubled with anything, training, marketing etc and I'm so glad that she was there.
Overall Canvas is a good company to come to to get your H1B filed.

- Not so good company. They charge for H1 filing. - - - 3/12/2015 - flag as inappropriate - comment
Lot of money for H1 filing. Specially this time around april, many other companies are offering free H1, but canvas charges 5K plus premium. Not good.

- Honest Review... Its just a below average company.. Better companies out there. - - - 1/29/2015 - flag as inappropriate - comment
I joined this company when I graduated from college. They put a whole bunch of rules on top of your head before you take their mediocre training. Yes, there is a $10,000 bond you have to sign to stick to them. They will not get you a job in 3-4 months. And when they fetch you a job, ur contract with the new company will be for just 4-5 months. You ll have to come back to canvas and spend another 3-4 months to search for another job. Its a waste of time guys. They say they have direct clients. Its a huge lie. They find jobs through other consultancies. Its up to you to decide. Waste your precious OPT with canvas or find a better company which gives you a job in 1 month.
      - 10/2/2015 - I totally agreed, Never join this place, all at the end you will regret. Find Better place in bay area, do not join them please please, this guys wasted my one year and misguide me, do not sign contract, please. - flag

- Sluggish, shallow and dim-witted people in this consultancy - - - 1/23/2015 - flag as inappropriate - comment
This is the most ridiculous consultancy. I agree, they post their own reviews on multiple websites. More than half of the reviews in google and glassdoor is written by the management itself. Poor training and even poorer marketing. They give false hopes. Anchal, the dim-witted, will brainwash you into telling you anything that ll make you join the company. Dont believe a word she says. They don't appreciate the time and effort you are putting into making a life for yourself. They charge you to file your H1B. Its your money to file for H1. 99% of other companies file and pay for your H1B. Not Canvas. They make you sign a ridiculous contract with binds you to the company for 1 year, else you have to pay $10,000. I got into this mess, but save yourself. There are thousands of other consultancies which are a million times better than this one. Trust me. Stay away. Don't be surprised if you see a couple of good ratings after this one. They would probably post it themselves to save the bad ratings.

Canvas has a great work ethic and people are friendly. All in all the environment I very professional. My personal experience with the company has been great. I joined Canvas a year ago and that time I was looking at IT consulting and better opportunities with fortune 500 companies. When I came to Canvas, to be honest I was slightly skeptical but then I was convinced by mentors and enamored by Alok sir and his team. It sure requires a lot of hard work and patience but trust me you are in good hands!

- Canvas is just more than a transperant company. It truly is ethical and systematic - - Maneka Gupta - 9/19/2013 - flag as inappropriate - comment
My experience with Canvas has been so unique since I was very scared about my H1b approval. I heard that this time it was based on a lottery system. But thanks to Canvas team, especially Pushpa and Ridhima who single handedly manage each and every procedure and systematically have everything done. I owe Canvas so much and I am truly grateful to them

I came to Canvas InfoTech looking for options to work in corporate America. I was looking for jobs even before I joined Canvas but I did not have good experiences. When I joined I was slightly confused that if I could not market myself then how could I have someone else market me? I took the training and then when I started looking I was truly impressed by the working ethics and dedication of Canvas team. This is truly what I needed to jumpstart my career and I can proudly say that today I m exactly how I visualized myself 5 years ago

- Believe me please dont join canvas listening first few sessions - - Sneha - 6/17/2013 - flag as inappropriate - comment
Canvas Infotech is a typically fraudulent Consulting people, who just want to make money with fake documents and false promises. They Suck your life with false promises to get the job. They Don't have any direct clients. Marketing team doesn't have any basic skills to do the marketing, they are so rude. They Exploit the Professionals with lot of pressure .Believe me if you want to waste your precious time of 5 to 7 months then go to Canvas, after that you will realize you have to start from scratch in the market again. and also don't sign contract, they sometime agree with it. If you sign it you are screwed.
