Bartender, waiter, receptionist 02/2022 - 04/2023
Fefor Mountain Hotel, Vinstra, Oppland Norway
Industry: Hospitality
I was hired as a maid but never worked as one, I was immediately directed to work as a waitress and a bartender, and after the first two seasons, I was invited to co-manage the restaurant and work as a receptionist.
Even though I never worked as one, I did receive training as a maid and dishwasher and was occasionally washing dishes in addition to my other tasks if there were only a few guests at the hotel.
I am a citizen of Latvia, but I soon learned basic Norwegian and was able to serve guests in their own language, which did impress my employer. Also, I went beyond my initial assignments and always found ways how to improve our work environment and create a better atmosphere for guests and colleagues, it was greatly appreciated by the employer as she mentions in her reference letter.--
