Biography:Jeffrey S. Pitt completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, majoring in English and History and thereafter completed his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School in 2000 in the top half of his class. Mr. Pitt focused his studies on international affairs and corporate law. During law school, Mr. Pitt served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Gerald E. Rosen of the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan, and was also a staff member of the Journal of Race and Law. Mr. Pitt also traveled to London to deepen his exposure to international law issues, studying International Law at the University College London, and working at the AIRE Centre, a legal office focused on International Human Rights. After finishing law school, Mr. Pitt practiced law at Honigman, Miller, Schwartz and Cohn for two years. Before his current work in the field of immigration law, Mr. Pitt founded a real estate development company, whereby he gained extensive experience as a business owner and general counsel, and during which he obtained an Advanced Professional Certificate in the field of Real Estate Finance from New York University in 2003. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association, as well as the Federal and Michigan bars. In addition to business immigration services, Mr. Pitt provides representation in all individual and family matters such as immigrant visas, naturalization, asylum and deportation defense.
