Highlights:Personal Investment: Managed an investment portfolio of >$1,000,000 USD with annual average returns of 10.74%. Valuated various companies by using Financial Statement modeling and Discounted Cash Flow model to evaluate whether current stock prices were overvalued. Analyzed different stocks’ Sharpe Ratios to measure risk-adjusted relative returns and performed technical analysis to modify the investment portfolio structure constantly. Developed volatility-targeted, stock portfolio using Markowitz’s Modern Portfolio Theory to optimize portfolio weights of 7 stocks, achieving 0.73 Sharpe Ratio and 7.2% drawdown, outperforming benchmark by 2.03% per annum. Applied Finance Project: Topic: Factor Research During Interest Rate Rising Cycles Built a market-beating trading strategy during an interest rate rising cycle by using OLS Regression, Python, Excel database function, and long-short equity strategy. Added three additional macro-economic factors to the Fama-French three-factor model to estimate the impact of interest rates and increase the accuracy of the model. Performed Multiple Linear Regression to calculate the correlation coefficient between S&P 500 sectors and S&P 500 Index individually in three interest rate rising backgrounds. Measured the trading strategy in the current interest rate rising cycle to observe the feasibility and the return on investment.
