I am working on a position of Tax Specialist in Manage Indirect Tax Department in Shell Business Operations in Krakow.
My main responsibilities are: preparation and submission of VAT Returns, Intrastate Reporting, EC sales list (recapitulative statement), local Reverse Charges and other local taxes such as road tax, property tax, and withholding tax for Czech Republic. I am responsible for performing all required tax related accounting activities upon which tax return depends, including control execution, perform VAT and other taxes accounts reconciliation, preparation of Additional VAT returns, calculate VAT payments, provide assistance to the tax reviews and statutory audits, decision making on routine compliance issues, exceptions and system errors handling. Also since September 2013 – April 2014 I was responsible for preparation and submission of VAT Returns, EC sales list, statistical reporting to Tax Office in Slovakia as I was acting as a main backup for person being on sick leave. Moreover I was leading Continuous Improvement project regarding to VAT recovery for Czech Republic. I am person responsible for various project, system and tools implementations within the company (e.g. implementation of new cards system (H3) for Czech Republic and Slovakia; implementation of new reporting tool (Kontronly Vykaz) for Slovakia as per country specifications).--
