Main duties are retail art direction, and conceptualisation of 360 advertising campaigns (ATL and BTL) for the Edcon Group and Edcon Speciality Division which consist of retailers, Edgars, J et, CNA, B oardmans and Edcon Cellular. On a day to day basis I laise with artists and production teams to produce effective retail campaigns in-store and wider ATL communications as well as internal sales and marketing campaigns for B2B opportunities.
In my current position as senior art director for Promise Agency in Johannesburg, my primary tasks involve managing creative productions across the board. These include ATL and BTL campaigns as well as Retail and Brand advertising campaigns. On a daily basis, I am also responsible for designing and presenting new concepts to clients. The copy of our designs frequently changes based on the needs and desires of our clients. I proudly participate in new major retail creative campaigns each year, from the initial pitch to the establishment of branding strategies. Another skill that is essential to the position of an art director that I use on a daily basis is the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. As someone who is engaged in both supervision and the creation of new creative content, I definitely possess the ability to multi-task.
