Responsibilities: • Review the proposed WPS,PQR prior to Qualification Testing, witnessing Procedure Qualification, Welder Qualification Tests • Ensure traceability of Welding, NDT including the repairs. • Welding Inspection in the firing line at the Front-End and Back-End • Ensuring that the Welding & Coating activities are carried out in a safe and effective manner in accordance with the Project Contract, Drawings, Specifications and approved Procedures. • Witnessing and verifying Welding Audits during WQT,PQR tests and Production Welding to ensure that the Amperage, Voltage, Heat Input, Travel Speed are within the WPS specified range, by using The Arc Logger Ten (ALX) machine dedicated to the monitoring of Arc Welding Process • Interpretation of Weld drawings and weld symbols and interacting with client in the relevant modification and required revisions as per site requirements. • Witnessing and verification of NDT on completed weld joints as per Project ITP and signing off the relevant NDT reports and submitting to the client for approval. • Reviewing and approving the Radiographic films and RT Reports submitted by the NDT agency as per the designated code. • Witnessing AUT on the tie-in joints. • Witness the Partial Through Thickness (PTTR), Through Thickness (TTR), Cap Repairs (CR) and review of the Weld repairs and analyze the causes of repairs and having the responsibility and authority to implement necessary actions to reduce the repair and rejection rate. • Have the responsibility in Maintaining a comprehensive inspection reports right from the incoming material control inspection to the final acceptance of the fabricated item. • Having the authority and responsibility to take actions to implement the quality assurance and quality control standards and procedures are adequately implemented and strictly followed at all levels. • Review the Non Conformance Reports and take effective actions for their closure. • Witnessing and verifying the pigging Clean & Gauging operations and releasing the stack for pup piece tie-in welding. • Witnessing the Tie-in Welding of INCONEL CRA Pup Pieces Welding and Stack to Stack INCONEL Butt Joints, witnessing Hydro test on Stacks • Inspection of Fusion Bond Epoxy, Chemically Modified Poly Propylene, Flame Sprayed Poly Propylene coatings on the weld joints in mainline as well as Field Joint Coatings. • Witnessing the repairs on Factory Applied Coatings, Field Joint Coatings. • Comply Repair procedure in accordance with recommendation of the manufacturer and the approved coating procedure • Witnessing all the procedures of surface preparations and painting activities and maintain records of all the readings • Stage wise Inspection of Mud mats Painting as per the approved ITP/QAP • Witnessing the Pipe-in-Pipe Installation Activities, and the Welding of Inner Pipe Stack to stack welding as well as Outer Pipe Stack to stack welding.--
