this company discriminates against non-South Asians in four ways. First, HCL uses fraudulent H-1B visa applications to secure South Asian workers from overseas, and gives preference to those workers ahead of American workers. Second, HCL gives substantial preference to South Asian applicants when hiring for local positions.

IT Consulting Companies owned by Indians have no intension to hire American workers.
Here are some ways employers have found from discriminate against U.S. workers by favoring foreign visa workers (mostly from India):
1. Dispute the point job description is communicated throughout the interview process, they ask questions that have nothing to do with the job and/or ask very few relevant questions. They do this only to disqualify you.
2. There “ethical” behavior during the interview process is simply go make you go away.
3. No show from employer – see attached example from Cognizant email.
4. You meet the job requirements and you were qualified for the job according to the job description. They will even make you go through lengthy job interview process….. Only to unethical reject you.
5. Pay them highly loss pay
6. Purposely, making job description complicated to avoid hiring American workers. Please find some examples:

• UI front end programmer is now expected to have UI front end programmer + Back end programmer experience.
• Qualify Assurance Tester should have programming experience bla bla bla.

Sadly, when you go to a job interview you might have 1) gotten your hopes up, 2) researched a company, 3) drove to the interview, 4) were interviewed, 5) drove home, 6) sent a thank-you note, and 7) waited expectantly... all for because company that interview american workers but had no intentions to hire American workers.

Why would they do this? Boredom? Curiosity? A deep-seated need to psychologically torture hapless job-seekers?
