On Monday, the Bipartisan Framework for Comprehensive Immigration Reform was released, with the backing of eight members of the Senate, including: Sens. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., John McCain, R-Ariz., Marco Rubio, R-Fla., and Robert Menendez, D-N.J. Notably, the five-page document, outlining the bipartisan plan for comprehensive immigration reform, appeared before the president’s speech, scheduled for yesterday in Las Vegas for immigration reform.
Although the Bipartisan Framework is merely the first step in a lengthy process of overhauling the nation’s ailing immigration system, it appears to be a very promising initial outline.
